Pricing guide, Europe
What IT Outsourcing Actually Costs in Europe
Cost follows scope, not a price list. This page explains the four pricing models we use, the costs buyers forget to count, and how the numbers compare with hiring in the UK, DACH, Benelux and the Nordics. Every quote is one fixed monthly figure, in writing, before work starts.
The four pricing models, and what drives each price
Managed support retainer
A fixed monthly fee covering monitoring, incidents, patching, releases and reporting for an agreed scope and response target. Best when you need cover, not headcount.
Price driven by: Scope, ticket volume, response targets, out-of-hours cover.
Dedicated engineer (staff augmentation)
A named senior engineer working in your team, billed monthly. Best when you have a roadmap and need throughput rather than a support desk.
Price driven by: Seniority, skill mix, number of engineers, notice period.
Project or MVP build
A scoped delivery with milestones and a fixed or capped budget. Best for a new product, a migration or a defined piece of work.
Price driven by: Scope, integrations, data migration, compliance requirements.
White-label subcontracting
Overflow second and third line capacity delivered under your brand, inside your ticketing system, billed monthly.
Price driven by: Hours committed, coverage window, escalation depth.
The costs buyers forget to count
Holiday, sickness and attrition
An in-house engineer is unavailable for several weeks a year. A retainer covers the role, not the person, so cover does not disappear.
Recruitment and ramp-up
Agency fees, months of vacancy and onboarding time before the first useful commit. A retainer starts inside two to three weeks.
Out-of-hours incidents
On-call rotas need at least three people to be sustainable. Extended cover is an agreed line in a retainer instead.
Tooling and management overhead
Licences, hardware, line management and appraisals sit with us, not on your cost centre.
Knowledge loss
Runbooks and documentation are part of delivery, so a handover never depends on one person's memory.
Cost by market
United Kingdom
A mid-level in-house engineer typically costs GBP 55,000 to 75,000 a year plus employer costs, and still cannot cover holidays or out-of-hours incidents. A scoped retainer replaces that with one predictable monthly line.
Managed IT services UK →Germany and Austria
Hiring in Berlin, Munich or Vienna runs three to six months against a shortage of senior candidates. A DSGVO-aware retainer with a signed AVV gets application support and AWS operations live in weeks.
IT-Outsourcing Deutschland →Netherlands and Benelux
Dutch teams usually outsource application beheer and cloud operations first, keeping product and stakeholder work in-house. The retainer is scoped to the systems you want covered.
IT-outsourcing Nederland →Nordics
High local salary levels and small internal teams make fixed-cost managed support the usual entry point in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway, with CET-overlapping hours.
IT outsourcing Nordics →Cost questions buyers ask
How much does it cost to outsource IT support?
There is no single list price, because the cost follows scope: how many systems are covered, how many tickets they generate, how fast you need a response and whether cover extends beyond business hours. Skillorix quotes one fixed monthly figure in writing before any work starts, and that figure does not move unless the scope does.
Is outsourcing cheaper than hiring an in-house IT engineer?
Usually, for the same coverage. A single in-house engineer covers one skill set, one time zone and roughly 46 working weeks a year. A retainer covers a role continuously, includes holiday and sickness cover, and gives you access to application, cloud, data and automation skills rather than one person's specialism. The saving is largest where the work is steady but does not justify a full-time hire.
How much does it cost to outsource IT support in the UK?
Benchmark it against your alternative: a mid-level UK engineer is typically GBP 55,000 to 75,000 a year plus employer costs, pension, tooling and management time, without out-of-hours cover. A Skillorix retainer is quoted against your stack and response targets and is billed monthly in GBP or EUR, with 30 days' notice.
Was kostet IT-Outsourcing in Deutschland?
What contract length and notice period apply?
Monthly billing with 30 days' notice. There is no multi-year lock-in, and runbooks and documentation are written as we go and stay with you, so leaving is a handover rather than a rebuild.
How do I get an accurate quote?
Tell us the systems involved, your current ticket volume, the response targets you need and whether cover extends outside business hours. We come back within one working day with a scoped fixed monthly price, and a founder joins the first call.
