What DACH IT leaders ask us
What is IT outsourcing and when does it make sense for a DACH company?
IT outsourcing means handing responsibility for running or building parts of your IT to an external partner instead of hiring. For German, Austrian and Swiss companies it usually makes sense when the Fachkraeftemangel makes hiring slow, when a legacy application still needs care but no longer justifies a full-time team, or when a project needs specialist AWS, data or AI skills for a limited window.
How is this different from nearshoring within Europe?
Nearshore providers in Poland, Portugal or Romania sell proximity. We sell senior ownership at a lower total cost, with a working day that overlaps CET from morning until early evening, daily written status, and the same escalation paths a nearshore team would give you. For most support, cloud and data workloads the two-hour time difference is invisible.
How do you handle DSGVO and the Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag?
We sign an AVV (data processing agreement) before access is granted, work on least-privilege named accounts, avoid copying production personal data into test systems, and use EU-region infrastructure where your stack requires it. Standard Contractual Clauses cover the transfer to India, and access is logged and revoked at the end of the engagement.
Do your engineers work in German?
Delivery, documentation and reporting run in English, which is the working language of nearly every DACH engineering organisation we support. Your German-speaking stakeholders keep their own interface; we plug in behind it. Where German-language end-user support is needed, we run it as a partner-fronted model.
What does an IT outsourcing retainer cost?
A fixed monthly retainer scoped to your stack, ticket volume and response targets, quoted in writing before work starts. A typical application support and AWS operations retainer costs materially less than one mid-level in-house engineer in Munich, Vienna or Zurich, and covers holidays, illness and out-of-hours incidents.
How does the transition from an existing provider or in-house team work?
Two to four weeks in most cases: discovery on codebase, infrastructure and runbooks, agreed response targets, a shadowing phase alongside the outgoing team, then primary ownership. Everything we learn is written into runbooks that stay with you. No lock-in.
Can you work as an MSP subcontractor for a German IT service provider?
Yes. We deliver white-label under your brand, inside your ticketing and process, for overflow capacity, second and third line support or specialist AWS and data work. Your end clients only see your team.
